| Bio: | I'm the author of THE SEER, STRANGE ENCOUNTERS, REGENERATION, CHEER SQUAD and MY SISTER THE GHOST series. I love to read, write and collect kids books. Mostly I collect series books like Judy Bolton, Trixie Belden and Nancy Drew. But I also have current series by authors like Wendelin Van Draaen, Margaret Peterson Haddix and Meg Cabot. When I was 13, I wrote to Margaret Sutton, author of the Judy Bolton series -- and I was SO excited when she actually wrote back. I carried that letter around school for days (I still have it!). Years later, she visited me and attended my high school graduation party. We kept on writing and even co-wrote a book together. Now that I'm an author, I get fan mail of my own. It's SO cool hearing from readers. Since I love talking about books, years ago I started a kids reading club at a local bookstore. Each month I would pick a really TERRIFIC book and all the kids would read it. Then we'd meet, play games and discuss the book. But the bookstore closed and the meetings ended. So now I'm taking my kids' reading club online. Since I love mysteries and fantasy middle-grade novels, I'm calling this blog: MYSTERY AND MAGIC READING CLUB. Kids of all ages (adults like me, too!) are welcome to join in. All you need is a love of books and a computer.
